Donna
Clark
Jul 9, 1940 — Oct 15, 2022
Ruston
Donna Elaine Whitten Clark was born July 9, 1940 to Esther and Bert Whitten in Hodge, LA, and she passed away October 15, 2022 in Ruston, LA. Donna was a fiery red-head, through and through, beloved by her family and friends. As the first born daughter, she took her role seriously and fiercely loved and protected her siblings. Sometimes it seemed as if she was looking right through us with her beautiful, clear blue eyes. Donna had a very funny sense of humor and natural wit. In fact, her high school friends recognized this and elected her "most witty." This trait has been passed down through children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren. Lots of them have her blue eyes but so far, only one has that fiery red hair. Her 3 girls and her niece Christy, who Donna always loved as a daughter, are grateful for her wit and wisdom and willingness to listen when they needed her. She will be remembered as a "little woman with a big personality" who always talked about her "wonderful life." Donna loved and appreciated her dear friends who supported and helped make life better for her. She will be happy to know that her precious cat, Silky, will be well-taken care of.
Donna kept her natural red-hair until the day she passed from this life peacefully into the welcoming arms of her beloved family who have gone before and into the arms of her Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ, in whom she had deep faith. Her family and friends are grateful for her example of faith. Even in hard times she knew that God had a reason and that the trials would ultimately be for her benefit. Like the monarch butterfly that flew into her room the day before she entered the heavenly realm, life may seem fleeting, but we are reminded that our days are numbered unto God. Until we meet again . . .
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sister Madeline Whitten; brother Greg Whitten; and great-grandson Jaden Cosper.
Donna is survived by her daughters Teresa Lynn Ross Cosper and husband Kevin Cosper, Tonya Gaye Ross Powell and husband Randy Powell, Rebecca "Becky" Dawn Ross Cates and husband Kirk Cates; brother Dennis Whitten and wife Jan; nephew Andy Fowler; niece Christy North; grandchildren, Casey Cosper and wife Julia, Sam Cosper and wife Callie, Jesse Cosper and wife Savannah, Hannah Cosper Blood and husband Austin Blood, Lucas Atkinson and wife Deja, Meagen Warden, Derek Warden, Alley Warden, Holly Lee, Adam Lee and wife Danielle, Aaron Kindrix and fiancé Alex; seventeen great-grandchildren; and four bonus great-grandchildren.
