Della Jean Gould Slaughter, age 49, of Simsboro, Louisiana was born December 7, 1974 to James Carlton Gould and Penny Sue Risner Gould in Germany. She passed away March 9, 2024 in Simsboro, Louisiana.

Della loved helping people and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going to the lake and riding in the boat, swimming, and visiting the casino.

Della is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Scott Slaughter, Sr. of Simsboro, Louisiana; son, Jeffrey Scott Slaughter, Jr. of Simsboro, Louisiana; daughter, Dominique Reese of Cherry Creek, Colorado; son, Skyelar Halverson of Death Valley, CA; grandchildren: Kayden Mora and Makenzie Mora; brother, James Borm and wife Cara of Los Angeles, California; and niece, Mia Borm of Los Angeles, California.
