Funeral services for Mr. Clyde "Buster" Sullivan, Jr. will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 22, 2022 at First Baptist Church Jonesboro with Rev. Brian McAllister officiating. Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Buster was a long-time resident of Jonesboro, LA. He was born in Macon, MS on May 16, 1942 to Clyde and Christine Sullivan and passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 in Jonesboro, LA at the age of 80.

After serving in the US Army in Korea, he graduated from Louisiana Tech University. Following graduation, Buster joined his dad as a logging contractor for thirty years. Upon retirement, he enjoyed gardening and farming before beginning his second career as a field representative for Woodmen Life Insurance, where he was a successful sales representative for sixteen years. He loved both of his careers, making life long friends in each area. Buster was known for his dry wit, quiet dignity, helping hand, and love of the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was an active member of Kiwanis Club, where he served as president and regional representative. He also served on the American Cancer Society Board of Directors. Buster was an active member at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He loved his Lord and loved being very active in his Sunday school class. Buster was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Christine Sullivan and his sister, Louise Burnett.

Buster is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Donna Sullivan; son, Shea Sullivan and wife, Lelani; daughter, Stacy and husband, Gary Bergeon; three grandchildren; sister, Pauline Lochala; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until service time Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Jonesboro.
