Claude "Buddy" Wright, age 81 passed away on October 19, 2021 at Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston, LA.  He was born February 12, 1940 in Port Arthur, Texas, the son of William Claude and Irene Tanner Wright.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bill Wright; sister, Jane Allman and grandson, Christian Cole.  He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-two years, Vonda Lee (Chandler) Wright; four children:  Kym Ingram (Tad) of Ruston, Louisiana, Shanna Alexander (Jimmy) of Palatka, Florida, Jon Wright (Melissa) of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Amy Volentine (John) of Cheneyville, Louisiana; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Claude graduated from Thomas Jefferson High in Port Arthur, Texas in 1957.  Following graduation he served in the Army and Army Reserve Medical Corps from 1957 through 1965.  He married Vonda Lee (Chandler) of Port Arthur, Texas on April 10, 1959.  He resided in Lake Charles, Louisiana from 1977 until displaced by hurricane Laura in August of 2020.  He worked in the tire and automotive industry, holding several management positions until he retired in 2005.

He loved working in the yard, tinkering with anything mechanical, and watching law enforcement shows and sports on TV.  He was a very loving, family man.  He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.  The memories that were made with him will be cherished forever.
