Funeral services for Charles "Ricky" William Pritchard, age 68 of Farmerville, LA will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 20, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Farmerville with Father Al Jost officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Downsville under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
Ricky was born November 26, 1953 to Edward John and Mary Mele Samia Pritchard. He passed away December 15, 2021 in Ruston, LA. Ricky was a retired Chief Warrant Officer of the U.S. Marine Corps, served in Vietnam and served as the Warden of the Union Parish Detention Center. He loved reading but, military books were his favorite. Ricky had many great qualities, but his love for his family was the most beautiful. He loved spending time with his daughter, granddaughters, nieces, and especially his wife, Shannon before her death. Ricky loved his dogs and there were many. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Farmerville and enjoyed volunteering his time there. Ricky was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-six years, Shannon Kirk Pritchard; one sister, Dolly Zimmerman; three brothers: Edward Pritchard, Jr., James Clarence Pritchard and Alexander Ronnie Pritchard.
Ricky is survived by his daughter, Nicole Soto and fiancé, Roan Ebert of Liberty Hill, TX; two sons, Edward Pritchard of CA and Barry Kilgore of OR; five grands: Candace Arends, Bella Soto, Diego Soto, Leo Soto, Francois LuQuette; two great-grands, Boden Arends and Lux Arends; two sisters, Dorothy Davis, Elizabeth Pereira and one brother, Michael Pritchard; and a host of family and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roan Ebert, Brad Arends, Jared Martin, William Davis, Jr., William (Bill) Davis, III and Joseph Davis. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM until time of service, Monday, December 20, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Farmerville, LA.
