Funeral services for Carolyn Jane Arnett Stevens, age 81 of Deer Park, TX, formerly of Ruston, LA , will be held 2:00 PM,  Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brad Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Mrs. Stevens was born February 5, 1938 to George and Evelyn Arnett in Akron, OH. She lived most of her life in Akron, moving around to Louisiana and California and back to Akron, then to Louisiana in 1981and in 1985 she married Vernon Stevens.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Stevens; parents, George and Evelyn Arnett; brother and sister-in-law Frank and Rita Parkins; brothers: Gilbert and Dennis Arnett; sister-in-law Lavonne Arnett and brother-in-law Kenneth Williams.

She is survived by her children: Tonyia and husband Jim Slabaugh of Clinton OH, Brenda and husband Bob Yarnell of Mooresville, IN, Mona and husband J. Richey of Deer Park, TX and Travis Boyett of Akron OH; two brothers: John Arnett of Akron, OH and Roy Arnett and wife Jan of Marysville, TN; two sisters: Eleanor Williams of Anaheim, CA and Judy and husband Wayne Lavender of Akron, OH;  sisters-in-law: Charlotte Arnett of Rayland, OH and Donna Arnett of Akron, OH; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ernie and Tammie Stevens of Ruston, LA; grandchildren: Joe Slabaugh, Lindsay Slabaugh, Kaitlin Slabaugh, Robert Yarnell and wife Jacqueline, Jamie and husband David Johnson, Megan and husband Kelly Dean, Bobbi Cain and Travis Boyett; great grandchildren: James, Asher, Tristan, Summer, Noah, Addelyn, Brian, Cameron, Landon, and Avianna.

Serving as pallbearers will be: J. Richey, Bob Yarnell, Robert Yarnell, Jim Slabaugh, Ron Inman and Ernie Stevens. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Slabaugh, Kelly Dean and Travis Boyett.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Owens Memorial Chapel.
