A private family graveside memorial service for Brooks Harris Bryant, Jr., age 88 of Ruston, LA will be held at Cook Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Brooks Harris Bryant, Jr., son of Brooks and Alva Bryant, Sr. was born on October 27, 1933 and passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022.  He was a native of Ruston.  Brooks is preceded in death by his parents Brooks Harris Bryant, Sr. and Alva Dean Williams Bryant, and his brother, James Melton Bryant.

Brooks is survived by his wife, Peggy Ruth Sherrer Bryant; daughters, Pamela Jane Bryant Mittag of Livingston, TX and Sarah Lee Bryant Chance (JR) of Onalaska, TX; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Dean Bryant Shelby of Alexandria, LA; step-daughter, Jackie Baldridge (Gary) of Ruston, LA; and step-son, Steve Sawyer of Channelview, TX.
