Grave side services for Ms. Brianna Newman will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Jonesboro, LA with her uncle Ronnie Vail officiating. Services will be under the direction Owens Memorial Chapel, Ruston, LA.

Brianna was born October 9, 1995 in Shreveport, LA and passed away on April 6, 2020, in Monroe, LA after a brief illness. She worked as a CNA caring for the elderly for eight years, Brianna loved all of her residents at Forest Haven unconditionally.

Brianna was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter and most of all a dear friend to many. She enjoyed social gatherings with friends and family. Brianna loved a good back road ride with an evening sunset. She was good at giving nicknames like the one she gave her two brothers, Day Day Sott (Scotty) and Tina (Chance). Brianna will be dearly missed by her mom, dad, siblings and friends.

Brianna was preceded in death by her biological father, Scott Newman; grandparents Vicki Southern, Darlene Newman and David Newman. She is survived by her parents, Matt and Teri Vail of Quitman, LA;  her siblings, Paige Vail of Hodge, LA, Scotty Inman of Hodge, LA, Cami Lawrence of Quitman, LA and Chance Vail of Quitman, LA; grandparents, Paul and Debra Inman of Deberry, TX, Jimmy and Janice Vail of Winnfield, LA and T.L. Southern of Quitman, LA; great grandparents James and Charlene Vail of Ruston, LA and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
