Funeral services for Bettye Collins, age 78, of Choudrant, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston with Rev. Brad Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston under direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Bettye was a very loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved cooking and tending her flower garden.  Bettye also loved spending time with family and entertaining friends.  She is preceded in death by her son, Doug Doucet; three sisters:  Hulene Griffin, Naomi Pilcher and Pat Austin and one brother, Bennie Fincher.

Bettye is survived by her husband of 17 years, Russell Collins; three children:  Dane Doucet and wife, Brandi, Danna Collins Burway and Brandon Collins and wife, Sandy; six grandchildren: Tyler Burway, Sydney Boyd, Taylor Crow, Tyler Crow, Gage Doucet and Mabry Doucet; brother, Ted Fincher; her dog "Jake" and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Collins, Michael Ward, Tony Oxford, Buster Evans, Chris Evans and Clint Campbell.  Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Burway and Gage Doucet.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, November 1, 2019 at Owens Memorial Chapel.
