On June 22, 2023, the Lord took Betty Ann Smith into his loving arms. Betty was born on August 26, 1941 in St. Joseph, LA and passed away in Ruston, LA.  She lived life to the fullest all of while making her stubbornness and sharp wit known for all. She had a lot of love for many things especially her children and family, the color purple and sittin' on the porch and building puzzles

Betty is survived by her two children: Willie Smith and Brenda Castaneda; her sister Faye Smith; brother Bill Davis; three grandchildren: Anthony Castaneda, Philip Castaneda and Paul Castaneda; and five great grandchildren:  Alejandro Castaneda, Olivia Castaneda, Christian Castaneda, Max Castaneda and Ava Castaneda.

She will be missed from Louisiana to Arizona.

Serving as pallbearers will be:  Anthony Castaneda, Philip Castaneda, Paul Castaneda, Paul White, Cody Russell and David Smith.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Reverend Leroy Skipper officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt.
