Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Lewis, age 87, of Simsboro, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 25, 2019 at Simsboro First Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Cathey officiating. Burial will follow in Simsboro City Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Mrs. Lewis was born September 23, 1932 in Simsboro, LA to Glen and Mary Mullin and died October 23, 2019 in Ruston, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph G. Lewis and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lewis of Simsboro; son, Gary Lewis and wife Dana of Simsboro, LA; grandchildren: Joseph W. Lewis of Simsboro, LA, Danni Kelley of Simsboro, LA and Casey Patterson of Karnack, TX, and sister, Peggy Mullin May of Ruston, LA.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Staples, Jake Staples, Max Colvin, Curt Brown, Joey Lewis and Donald Franklin. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Garrison, Charles Staples and Sammy Staples.
