Funeral services for Benjamin "Benji" Baugh, age 64 of Ruston will be held at 5:00 P.M., Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Rev. Luke Hockenjos officiating.  Benji was a graduate of Ruston High School. He was a skilled welder and a mold maker at the glass plant. Benji went on to graduate from South Arkansas Community College and became a Radiologist Technologist, where he retired from E.A. Conway Medical Center in Monroe, LA.  He was a father to Ellery and Joe Dan, who he loved and raised with his same passion for the outdoors.  Benji was able to be a part of multiple grandchildren's lives, that he loved unconditionally.  "Big Ben" always had a four-wheel drive that stayed ready to help anybody get unstuck, no matter how far in the woods they were.  He was one-of-kind and there are thousands of stories that will carry on that legacy.  On August 26, 2019, Benji prayed for Jesus to come into his heart, thanks to the persistent prayers of many people.  Those close to him, were able to witness the change in his life after this decision.  We can confidently claim that Benji's illness is healed and he is now pain free in heaven today.  He was a husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many.  He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.  His family would like to thank everyone for the support and love shown to him and a big thanks to the caregivers that continually provided for him throughout the end of his life!

Benji was preceded by his parents, Dr. Benjamin Baugh and Caroline Baugh.

He is survived by his son, Joe Dan Baugh of Dubach, LA, daughter, Ellery (Justin Gorman) of Summerfield; grandchildren: Slaid, Chassis, and Maddie Gorman; Stepmother, Emily Baugh; brothers:  Raymond Baugh of Donie, TX, Charles Norriss of Navarre, FL, David Norrriss (Mary) of New Orleans, LA; sisters:  Barbara (Walt Jakiela) of Choudrant, LA, Beverly Norriss of San Diego, CA and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Baugh, Joe Dan Baugh, Billy McElduff, Dewayne Farrar, Richard Anderson and Ben Christmas.
