Funeral services for Rev. Albin Perry Lassiter, age 83, of Ruston will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 6, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Ruston with Pastor Chris Craig officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Rev. Lassiter died at 4:30 PM on December 3, 2018 at Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston, LA.  Through his long life, he was able to serve his calling as pastor of seven churches including: Calvary Baptist in Tulare, Woodlawn in Rayville, First Baptist Many, New Chapel Hill in West Monroe, Hodge Baptist and Southside Baptist in Ruston.  He continued counselling and teaching Sunday school through his final days.  He was loved and will be missed by one and all.

Rev. Perry is survived by his wife of sixty years, Vivian Powers Lassiter; children: Brad Lassiter, Brian Lassiter and Ann Trichel; two daughters-in-law: Mary Lassiter and Freda Lassiter; one son-in-law: Todd Trichel; ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and countless friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00–7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Owens Memorial Chapel.
