A memorial reception honoring the life of Mr. Billie Jack Johnson, Sr., age 76 of Ruston, will be held at Owens Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Mr. Johnson was born November 3, 1935 in Dallas, Texas to Claxton Elvis Johnson and Ila Watkins Johnson. He died in Ruston on June 9, 2012. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. For many years, Mr. Johnson was a clothing salesman at The Hub in Ruston. He was preeded in death by his parents, Jack and Ila Johnson; his son, Kenneth Darren Johnson and his brother, Bobby Ray Johnson.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his two sons: Billy Jack Johnson, Jr of Farmerville and Richard Wade Johnson of Litte Rock, Arkansas; four grandchildren: Ariel Mizell, Miles Sillers, Hayden Johnson, Mattie Huckaby, Brylan Johnson, Jack Henry Johnson and Maggie Johnson; and his wife Gladys Marie Johnson.
